Things get complicated since there's apparently no standard way to number the pin outs (some #6 are #12 in other diagrams and so on) but the colors should remain the same for the wires. The pinout readings for photonumber #1 are the same as #2, but the colors are off. Example: Photo#1/X605 (12 pin):
2002 E39 525i Sport (Oxford Green) - 2002 E36/7 M Roadster (Oxford Green) 2001 E53 X5 3.0i Sport (Oxford Green) - 2007 E63 M6 (Silver Grey) 1995 E31 840Ci (Oxford Green) - 2006 E86 M Coupe (Sepang Bronze) 2001 E39 530i Sport (Aspen Silver) - 2009 E92 M3 (Space Grey) 2001 E38 740i Sport (Sahara Beige) - 2008 E92 M3 (Melbourne Red)Subject: Wire size, capacity and color chart. The following chart shows wire sizes, capacity and color codes. If some of the color codes seem confusing, be aware that in German black is schwarz, brown is braun, red is rot, orange is orange, yellow is gelb, green is gruen, blue is blau, violet is violett, gray is grau, white is weiss, pink
Well, I've just done that by recording the colors (and sunroof option) of each E39 M5 VIN. So basically input the color of your car, color of the seats and if it has a sunroof and it will show how many BMW had produced with that combo. Note: There is one glitch with individual cars, the information is shown by the calculator will be correct but
