In addition, REV PRO KTM 690 Enduro R rev limiter implements a re-mapped timing curve which yields a extreme Max out in Engine Potential and low- and mid-range torque. TPS APAD The tank is stock; I was no more bothered by the autonomy than by the absence of a fuel gauge on the 2018 model. I usually try to fuel up every 150k and before hitting the trails. What I love about the 690: The torque. So much torque, so fun. Highway ride and passing are really comfortable. The 390 Adventure has enough power to keep up with bigger bikes too, although I do wish it were smoother on the highway. Comparing it to other single-cylinder models, KTM 690 Enduro R is smoother at 75mph with its dual balancer
My criteria, or requirements, back in the spring of 2013 were: a new bike, light weight, enduro capable, plenty of power, runs on 80 octane fuel and long service intervals. A good selection of after-market parts also had an impact. Anyhow, I don’t think I had any other options that would have met my criteria, other than the KTM 690 Enduro R.
A few observations of mine about the SMC R: Sounds like a KTM. I always thought the sound was unique to the 1290 75* angle, but nope. Sounds like a KTM from the seat. Can't wait to put a slip on to save weight and braaap around. The brakes are phenomenal.
The perfect bike would do longer journeys and retain the agility and performance of a lightweight enduro. His goal was a bike that’s much more versatile than a standard 500 EXC, but with better performance off-road than a KTM 690 Enduro R, a bike Kurt could use to explore the vast expanses of Baja. This is how he built it. IMPROVE COMFORT & RANGE The Husky 701 was at the top of my list, until this awesome deal came up on a 17 690 Enduro. Saves me $3k off the cost of the Husky, and it's only got 340 miles on it. 1. oider_hund. • 6 yr. ago. Yeah it's a pity that they don't update the DRZ.
