Ghosts came out the year after black ops 2. Any cod that got released following black ops 2 was never going to live up to the changes that black ops 2 made with amazing scorestreaks and the new pick 10 system. League play aswell was in black ops 2 but not in ghosts, and extinction was not as good as nazi zombies storylines from black ops 2.

From a YouTube video made in 2019 the playerbase is on its way out. Team death match is about the only game mode you can find people in and even then there’s only a few people in each lobby. Would recommend black ops 2, it’s player base is still healthy.
